You can appoint a service organization as your representative to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to prepare, present and prosecute your benefits claims by completing VA Form 21-22. This form is a power of attorney and authorizes the service organization to act on your behalf.

Even if you have completed and submitted VA Form 21-22 in the past, it's important to note that the VA will only accept the current version of Form 21-22. Prior versions of the form will not be accepted by the VA for new or changed appointments.
