Student Veterans-Maryland

Legislation
HB 0935 provides an honorably discharged veteran of the United States armed forces who resides or is domiciled in the state and attends a public institution of higher education in Maryland is exempt from paying nonresident tuition at a public institution of higher education in this Maryland.

Maryland Army National Guard State Tuition Waiver:
Provides waiver between 25-50% of tuition cost for members of the MD Army National Guard attending Maryland State colleges and universities.
Eligibility: Maryland Army National Guard members.

Maryland Air National Guard State Tuition Waiver:
50% tuition waived for all partner schools through graduate programs. 50% off tuition and related fees for undergraduate programs at partner schools.
Eligibility: Maryland Air National Guard members.

Maryland Army National Guard Tuition Assistance:
Reimburses soldiers up to 50% of tuition and related fees after verification of grade of “C” or better for undergraduate courses. Not available if receiving reimbursement from any other source. Both programs may be used in conjunction with Federal Tuition Assistance and the Montgomery GI Bill.
Eligibility: Maryland Army National Guard members.

Maryland Air National Guard Tuition Assistance:
Up to 100% tuition assistance. Tuition assistance for vocational-technical courses at MD public colleges, universities and private institutions if the latter provides a 50% tuition waiver.
Eligibility: Maryland Air National Guard members.

Maryland Veterans and Dependents Scholarship:
Aid for tuition and other educational expenses are available for veterans and their family members who are attending an institution of higher learning within the borders of the State of Maryland.
