Student Veterans-Tennessee

Legislation
SB 1433 grants any veteran not dishonorably discharged from the armed forces of the United States and within 2 years of being discharged be classified as an in-state student at a public university, state college or community college within the state of Tennessee.  The student veteran must demonstrate by objective evidence intent to be a resident of this state within one-year of enrollment.

Tennessee National Guard Scholarship Program: Tennessee National Guard Association offers six (6) $1,500.00 scholarships in the following categories: one (1) each Army National Guard member; two (2) each current members or their dependents; two (2) each retired members or dependent of deceased members; one (1) each current members who participated in Operation Desert Shield or members of the family of a former member of an Operation Desert Shield unit.
Eligibility: National Guard service member.

Tennessee Air National Guard Tuition Assistance:
State tuition assistance available for Air National Guard members.
Eligibility: Air National Guard member.
