Student Veterans-Washington

Legislation
SB 5318 provides any veteran who served at least two years in the armed services and is  honorably discharged and enrolls in an institution of higher education in Washington within one year of their separation date shall be considered an in-state resident for tuition purposes.  This law also applies to the veteran’s spouse or dependent.

Washington National Guard Tuition Assistance:
Washington tuition may be waived on all or a portion of tuition and fees on a space available basis.
Eligibility: Member of National Guard.

Washington National Guard Loan Forgiveness Program:
The state of Washington will forgive education loans for recipients who complete contracted term of service in the Washington National Guard.
Eligibility: Honorable Discharge from National Guard
